Birmingham Branch Closure for Refurbishment and Redesign

Birmingham Branch Closure for Refurbishment and Redesign

Dear Customer,
Our Birmingham branch was opened in 2006 and thanks to your support, it has been a great success.
However, we are conscious of the fact that the facilities in the branch are long overdue for redesign and refurbishment and we need to provide our customers with a much better experience and deal with the increasing demand.
With this in mind, we will shortly be commencing some substantial building works which will, amongst other things, result in an improved banking hall as well as increased capacity for Safe Deposit Lockers.  These works are due to commence on Monday 6th November 2023 and last for approximately 12 weeks, however as with all projects like this, this may be subject to some revision.
The scope of this work will mean that whilst the branch will remain open on weekdays, it will not be possible to open on Saturdays for the duration of the works. During this time, you can of course visit any of our other branches, where our staff will be pleased to help you. The nearest alternative branch to Birmingham is Wolverhampton branch which is located at 39, Queen Square, Wolverhampton, WV11TL
In addition to this, with our YONO Mobile Banking App, you can view your balances, link and view your SBI India accounts, open Flexi-ISAs, make INR remittances to India 24/7 at better rates, make UK payments, update your contact details, and order and block debit cards. You can also withdraw cash at any UK ATM, access your accounts via Internet Banking and use our 24/7 contact centre for some enquiries.
For customers who hold Safe Deposit Lockers at Birmingham, unfortunately, whilst the works are on-going, we will not be able to offer locker access on Saturdays. As such, we strongly recommend that you make suitable plans to access your lockers during weekdays, should you anticipate any need.
We thank you for your understanding in this matter and regret the inconvenience this may cause you. However, we can assure you that the improvements in the branch layout, including more lockers and customer consultation areas are aimed to provide a much improved experience to our valued customers.
Yours sincerely

Stephen Banks
