The app will allow customers with accounts at both SBI UK and SBI in India to see both accounts through one app, thereby improving the customer experience and ease-of-use. The app would also allow customers to change their address, e-mail, mobile numbers online.

The app also comes with a strong cordon of device binding to protect the security of customer funds.

Terms and conditions


These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) are for “Using YONO SBIUK mobile app for your first financial transaction” (the “Promotion”) being promoted by State Bank of India (UK) Limited (“SBI UK”). Your participation in the Promotion is governed by these Terms and Conditions.


These Terms and Conditions are in addition to, and not in derogation of the Personal Banking Terms and Conditions, Mobile Banking Service Terms and Conditions available on the website. If there is any inconsistency between the Personal Banking Terms and Conditions, Mobile Banking Service Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.


The words “we”, “us”, “our” and words with similar meaning refer to SBI UK. By participating in the Promotion you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which may be amended, modified or supplemented at any time by SBI UK. These Terms and Conditions will be posted and updated on the website.





In these Terms and Conditions, unless otherwise defined, capitalised terms shall have the meaning as assigned to them below:


“Account” means a Current Account or Instant Access Savings Account held with SBI UK.


”Branch(es)” refers to the branch offices of SBI UK in the United Kingdom at City of London, Birmingham, Coventry, East Ham, Golders Green, Harrow, Hounslow, Ilford, Leicester, Manchester, Southall, Wolverhampton.


“Beneficiary Bank Account” refers to his/her own Current Account or Instant Access Savings Account held with SBI UK.


“Gift” refers to the £10 credit in your Beneficiary Bank Account.


“Entrant” refers to a person who is a resident of the United Kingdom, is above 18 years of age and holds an Account.


“Promotion Period” refers to the period of the Promotion starting from Tuesday, 10 March 2020 to Friday, 10 April 2020 (both dates inclusive).


“Financial Transaction” refers to Remitting funds to India, Transferring funds to another account held with SBI UK, Sending funds through Faster Payments.


“Successful Transaction” refers to a financial transaction during the Promotion Period from the YONO SBI UK, mobile app.


“Website” refers to the website of SBI UK as made available online at www.sbiuk.com




How to enter


To participate in the Promotion, the Entrant must make one Successful Transaction.





1. To be eligible for this Promotion, an Entrant must:

a. Hold an Account during the Promotional Period

b. Within the Promotion Period, complete first Successful Transaction

2. The Entrant’s Account should be a live account at the time of the transaction


Additional Terms


The Gift is only available on first Successful Transaction and is limited to one per Account to his or her own Beneficiary Bank Account.

The Gift will be made available to successful Entrants on or before 30 days of transaction date.

If the Entrant is holding Current Account/Instant Access Savings Account with SBI UK, Entrant would be eligible for one Gift where Entrant does a Successful Transaction from either of the accounts. For example, if a Successful Transaction is done from both Current Account and Instant Access Savings Account then only one Gift would be credited into your respective Beneficiary Bank Account.

For joint account holders, the primary applicant of the Account will be considered as an Entrant. Only one Gift will be credited per Account. In the case of joint accounts, if both the joint holders complete Successful Transactions, only one Gift will be credited to the joint Account.

This Promotion can be withdrawn at any given time without giving prior notice however Entrants who have qualified during the Promotion Period shall receive the Gift.

SBI UK shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances


shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other such circumstances.

SBI UK shall not be obliged to make any public announcements on the successful Entrant.

The Promotion shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and all disputes arising under this Promotion shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of England and Wales.

This Promotion is not available for financial transactions made through Branch and Internet Banking.
