Temporary changes in opening times, Saturday closure and Contact Centre 24/7 availability.


SBI UK is committed to playing its part in helping reduce the spread of Coronavirus by taking on board the current health guidelines wherever practically possible.

We have therefore decided that until further notice, as a temporary measure, our branches will open between 10am and 3pm on weekdays and in addition, access to lockers will now be made available again. They will, for the time being remain closed on Saturdays. Our Contact Centre has now resumed its normal hours and is open 24/7 again.

East Ham Branch will open between 10 am and 2 pm on weekdays .

Temporary closure of Birmingham branch

SBI UK Birmingham branch will be temporarily closed until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. You can continue to access banking services through YONO, internet banking, our Contact Centre and any ATM. Customers can avail banking services from any of the remaining  branches.

Access to your banking will still be available via our YONO mobile banking App, Internet Banking and any ATM 24/7.You also can access our contact centre 24/7.

YONO SBI UK offers numerous features like easy UK money transfers or payments, remittances to India - available 24x7 with attractive exchange rates on remittances to India etc. The facility of opening an account through the app will be made available very shortly.

The app will allow customers with accounts at both SBI UK and SBI in India to see both accounts through one app, thereby improving the customer experience and ease-of-use. The app would also allow customers to change their address, e-mail, mobile numbers online.

The app also comes with a strong cordon of device binding to protect the security of customer funds.

Upon registering you will receive a confirmation email stating the following:

  • Please note that you will receive a daily rate mailer only on a working day.
  • Foreign exchange rates are subject to market fluctuations.
  • The rate given is time stamped UK time and is for online transfers up to £15,000 via your SBI UK account.
  • SBI Account holders can visit and use our SBI Internet Banking facility.
  • Non-SBI account holders can open an Online Remittance Savings Account by visiting
  • You can call our customer services at 0207 454 4338 from Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 6:00pm, or visit your nearest branch.
