Covid-19 / Coronavirus Precautions
Updated Lockdown Arrangements At Branches
– from 7th January 2021
SBI UK continues to be committed to play its part in helping reduce the spread of Coronavirus by adhering to the current health guidelines wherever practically possible.
We have therefore decided that until further notice, our branches will continue to open between 10 am and 2 pm on weekdays and they will, for the time being remain closed on Saturdays. During this current period of lockdown, we will not be making locker facilities available.
Access to your banking will still be available via our YONO mobile banking App, Internet Banking and any ATM .You also can access our contact centre 10.00 am to 04.00 pm.
Customers will already be aware that due to building works, our East Ham branch is currently operating from Ilford branch and this arrangement will continue.
You can of course continue to access services through YONO, Internet Banking, any ATM and our Contact Centre. Customers can avail banking services from any of the remaining branches.
For operational reasons our Hounslow branch will continue to remain closed and operate from Southall. Hounslow customers may continue to use the usual contact details, as mail and telephones will be re-directed.
During this pandemic it may also be necessary to temporarily close or provide restricted service at other branches at short notice so please continue to refer to our website for up to date branch specific information.
We would prefer it if you could avoid visiting our branches during this period but If you have no other option we would respectfully remind you that it is a legal requirement to wear a face covering and respect social distancing whilst on our premises. In addition, in order to further assist with social distancing, we will be limiting access to 2-3 visitors at any one time so it would be appreciated if you only enter the branch if you are personally conducting business.
We thank you for your understanding.
Permanent Closure of Ilford Branch
Following a review of our branch network, we have decided that our Ilford branch will close permanently with effect from 31st January 2021, although this date may be subject to change
We have not taken this decision lightly, as we know that this branch has been convenient to you, however, we are finding that fewer customers are conducting their business at the branch itself and we have therefore taken the difficult decision to close the branch.
There is nothing you need to do at the moment, as nearer the time, your account(s) will be transferred to our branch in East Ham. In case if you prefer to transfer the account to any of our other branches in the UK, please email us your request on customerservices.sbiuk@statebank.com. There will be no interruption of services during the transfer and whilst your account number(s) will remain the same, it will be necessary for you to advise the new branch details to anyone who sends payments to you. Details of East Ham branch are mentioned below
Address: 149 – 153 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 1HZ
Sort Code: 60 95 78
For customers who have locker facilities with us, we will be arranging for your lockers to be moved to East Ham branch under appropriate security protocols. This will be undertaken out of hours so it is unlikely that you will experience any access restrictions.
We do appreciate that this may be inconvenient for you and this is very much regretted, however I do hope you will appreciate our reasons. More importantly though, your custom is immensely valued and I do hope that we can continue to look after your banking requirements both now and long into the future.
