Our Golders Green branch was opened in 1976 and thanks to your support, it has been a great success.

However, we are conscious of the fact that the facilities in the branch are long overdue for redesign and refurbishment and we need to provide our customers with a much better experience and deal with the increasing demand.

With this in mind, we will shortly be commencing some substantial building works which will, amongst other things, result in an improved banking hall as well as increased capacity for Safe Deposit Lockers. The scope of this work will mean that the branch will have to close temporarily for round 10 weeks, during which time it will operate from our City of London branch premises. At the moment, we cannot give a precise date of commencement but we anticipate that this will be during December – as soon as we know more we will of course advise you.

City of London branch is located at 15 King Street, London EC2V 8EA. We will be redirecting our Golders Green telephone lines and mail to the City of London branch so you can continue to use the same contact details including e-mail. As an alternative you may find our Harrow branch more convenient, located at 1-9 St Ann's Road, Harrow, Middlesex,. HA1 1AP.

For customers who hold Safe Deposit Lockers at Golders Green, unfortunately, while the works are on-going, we will not be able to offer locker access, although appropriate security protocols will be in place to protect your valuables at all times. As such, we strongly recommend that you make suitable plans to access your lockers beforehand, should you anticipate any need for access.

During this time, you can of course visit any of our other branches, where our staff will be pleased to help you. With our YONO Mobile Banking App, you can link your SBI India accounts, open Flexi-ISAs, make INR remittances to India and 24/7 at better rates, make UK payments, update your contact details, order and block debit cards. You can also withdraw cash at any UK ATM and access your accounts via Internet Banking and our 24/7 contact centre.
